Finally, we are going to have NBA basketball again.Read more...
After more than 15 hours of negotiations Friday into Saturday morning (following a week of talks), the NBA owners and players have reached a handshake deal on a new NBA collective bargaining agreement the sides announced.
“We’ve reached a tentative understanding,” said NBA commissioner David Stern.
NBA games will start Dec. 25 — Christmas Day — with a triple-header and there will be a 66 game season.
There are a lot of details still to be worked out — first up are all the “B” list issues such as draft age and drug testing, things the sides do not all agree on but are not serious enough to block a deal. Then the NBA’s players union has to be reformed (remembered they disolved to allowing anti-trust lawsuits) then the owners and players will have to vote on a final version of the agreement.
All that is going to take 10-days to two weeks. The lockout will not officially be over until then.
That will be followed by a condensed free agency period and a couple weeks of training camps.
But on Christmas day we will get to open NBA basketball.
This shit right here though!? Wow is really all I can say. I've been asking myself for the last three years why Rashid Hadee remains so slept on. I just don't get it. I listen to a lot of music, much more than I post on this site, and dude has consistently dropped incredibly dope music for years and is still below the radar to the average hip-hop listener it seems. Maybe it's just me, but enough of my ranting. Sit back, relax, and click play now for the latest visuals to "Night Train" from Rashid Hadee and The Primeridean.

Keeping the holiday treats flowing, here is another gift for you. Up above is the video teaser and down below is the downloadable full single:
The Choklate Music Team is proud to announce Choklate’s first holiday project entitled Fah La La La La: The Christmas EP.
Choklate continues to innovate and forge her own very clear path by being one of the most distinctive voices in the Indie Soul scene. Her writing, cadence and delivery are not derivatives of current nor former inspiration but rather an honest, pure and very original style that is further displayed on this Christmas EP with having created a project that could very well be played all year around by featuring her signature style of singing and songwriting.
The EP is produced entirely by Kuddie Fresh and is both of their first times working together exclusively on a project and Christmas music in general.
The project is scheduled to be released on December 9th following the first single release titled "Tis The Season" the day after Thanksgiving and a video for the single that following week.
Fans have been waiting approximately 3 years for a new Choklate project and hopes this project will not only tide them over but actually be a pleasant addition to the holiday season for her dedicated fans.

Remember back back in the day when you had that 1 Homie who would video tape & record every rap video on TV, or every rap show on the radio? Used to go over to the crib and bug out over new sh*t, even if he only caught the last half of the joint, y'all would still go crazy over it right?Read more...
Fast forward 15 years, the Homie has a box of 30 or so VHS cassette tapes sittin dusty in a drawer with names like "Rap City", "Summer Jam", "The Box", "In Da Round" scrolled on the side of'em in some youthful hand-styles fit for a wall or two - and you're like, I need to watch these, take you back, rappin along with every word like it was yesterday. But you ain't mad raps evolved, cus you fu*k with the new sh*t, cus back then "this was the new shit".
Maybe that same Homie back back in the day, meticulously catches the last 50 seconds of that new Jeru joint, making Moms change the channel quick fast in order to record it, cus Rap City is on. Leaving you wondering how Prem does it, making them sound so good right, and saying to yourself "I wanna rap like them".
